A number for your WhatsApp Business API — no SIM needed
Rent an Indian number in the panel, register it with Meta, and read the verification code off your screen. No spare SIM, no phone to keep charged, no number of your own to give up.
How it works
Three steps, all inside the panel
- 1
Pick a number
Choose from the Indian numbers available right now, in Mumbai or Bangalore. The monthly rent is taken from your wallet.
- 2
Register it with Meta
Start Meta's WhatsApp sign-up from the panel and enter the rented number. Choose to get the verification code by phone call.
- 3
Copy the code from your screen
The call arrives on the rented number and its code appears in the panel within moments — one tap to copy, with the recording underneath.
Speech recognition sometimes mishears a spoken digit, so every code is shown with the call recording. If a code looks wrong, listen and type what you hear.
What it costs
Two lines on your bill, both shown up front
| Rented number | Monthly, from your wallet | ₹499 |
|---|---|---|
| WhatsApp platform fee | Team inbox, broadcasts, chatbot — per connected number | ₹999 |
| Together, per month | Before 18% GST | ₹1,498 |
WhatsApp's own per-message charges are separate and come from the same prepaid wallet — estimate them here.
Good to know
- Numbers are Indian, from the carrier's stock in Mumbai and Bangalore.
- Rent renews every month from your wallet — nothing to remember.
- You can give a number back from the panel whenever you no longer need it.
- Keep a small balance in the wallet and the number simply stays with you.
Before you print it anywhere
If the rent cannot be taken, the number is held for five days. After that it goes back to the carrier for good — it cannot be recovered, and a WhatsApp account registered on it stops working. Top up before the due date if customers know you by this number.
Already have a number your customers save? You don't need to rent one — connect your existing WhatsApp Business number instead.
Can I use a virtual number for the WhatsApp Business API?
Yes. The WhatsApp Business API needs a phone number that can receive a verification code by SMS or phone call, and it must not already be registered on WhatsApp. A rented number that receives the verification call works for this.
How much does a number for WhatsApp Business cost?
A rented number costs ₹499 a month on wbm.link. Connecting it to WhatsApp — the team inbox, broadcasts and chatbot — is the usual platform fee of ₹999 a month per number, so the two together come to ₹1,498 a month before GST, plus WhatsApp's per-message charges.
Where do I see the WhatsApp verification code?
In the Rented numbers screen of the panel. When the verification call comes in, the code read out on it appears at the top of the screen with a copy button, and the recording is kept underneath in case the code was misheard.
What happens if I stop paying for the number?
The rent renews from your wallet every month. If the wallet does not have enough, the number is held for five days so you can top up. After that it is given back to the carrier, it cannot be recovered, and any WhatsApp account registered on it stops working.
Which cities are the numbers from?
Numbers are Indian, from the stock our carrier holds in Mumbai and Bangalore. Numbers from other cities are not available.
Do I need a SIM card or a phone?
No. The number lives with the carrier and the verification call is answered for you, so there is no SIM to buy and no phone to keep charged.
