When to send it

  • Five to seven days before the session, as the main invitation
  • To a label of leads interested in the topic
  • For a paid workshop, when seats open
  • Once on the day, to people who said they would join

Tips for approval and replies

  • Send only to contacts who opted in, and use a label such as “Interested: GST course” so the topic matches the person.
  • Say the topic, date, time and length plainly. If it is free, say so; if it is paid, give the fee.
  • Put the sign-up page in a URL button on your own website rather than a shortened link in the text.
  • Schedule the invitation in wbm.link, then check the delivered and read report before deciding on a second message.

Is a webinar invitation marketing or utility?

An invitation to a webinar or workshop is marketing. A message sent only to someone who already signed up — the joining link and start time, with nothing promotional — can be a utility template.

Can I put the joining link in the message?

Yes. A URL button to a page on your own website is the cleanest way. Avoid link shorteners, which are a common reason for rejection.
