When to send it

  • As soon as an appointment is booked by phone, at the desk or in a chat
  • When a patient books a follow-up before leaving the clinic
  • After a booking request has been checked against the doctor’s schedule
  • When the consultation fee has been paid in advance

Tips for approval and replies

  • Include who they are seeing, the date and time, and the address — the three things people message back to ask.
  • A “Get directions” URL button and a “Call clinic” phone button are fine in utility templates and cut down on calls asking the way.
  • Keep health camps, packages and check-up offers out of confirmations; they belong in separate marketing templates for people who opted in.
  • Keep clinical details out of the template. The appointment time and place are enough; anything medical is better discussed in the conversation.

Can a clinic send appointment confirmations on WhatsApp?

Yes, as utility templates to patients who agreed to be contacted on WhatsApp. The confirmation should cover the appointment only — doctor, date, time and place.

Can wbm.link send confirmations automatically from my appointment calendar?

No. wbm.link does not connect to calendars or clinic software. You can import the day’s bookings as a CSV, with the doctor and time as custom fields, and send the approved template as a broadcast; patients’ replies come into the team inbox.
