When to send it

  • When a sold-out product customers asked about is available again
  • To the label of customers who asked to be told about a restock
  • When a popular size or colour returns
  • When a seasonal product is back for the season

Tips for approval and replies

  • Keep a label such as “Waiting: blue kurta M” for customers who asked, and broadcast only to them — it is the most relevant list you will ever have.
  • Don’t claim stock is about to run out unless you know it is. “Back in stock” is reason enough.
  • Name the exact product and size in variables so each customer sees the item they wanted; in wbm.link these can come from custom fields in your CSV import.
  • Add a URL button that goes straight to the product page.

Is a back-in-stock alert utility or marketing?

Marketing. Even when the customer asked for it, a message inviting them to buy is promotional, so Meta categorises it as marketing.

Who should receive a restock alert?

Customers who asked to be told, or who opted in to offers and bought the product before. Sending it to everyone dilutes it and invites blocks.
