When to send it

  • On the day results are declared
  • When a scorecard or marksheet is ready to download or collect

Tips for approval and replies

  • Point to the result rather than printing marks in the body. Many families prefer to see marks privately on your portal, and it keeps the template short.
  • Do not congratulate toppers and invite them to the next batch in the same message — congratulations plus an admission pitch is marketing.
  • Avoid a body that is only “Congratulations {{1}}!” — Meta treats unclear templates as marketing. Say what was declared and where to see it.

Is a result announcement a utility template?

Yes, when it tells the student or parent that their own result is available and how to see it. Adding admissions for the next course or a scholarship offer makes it marketing.

Can I send each student’s marks on WhatsApp?

You can put marks in a variable filled from your imported list, but check your own privacy obligations first; many schools send only a link to the scorecard. Send an individual result only to that student or their parent.
