WhatsApp for logistics & courier
Shipment updates out, delivery questions in — on one WhatsApp number.
Consignees message to ask where a parcel is, or to move a delivery to another day. wbm.link sends shipment updates as utility templates from the inbox or as broadcasts to the day's list, answers “track” with a keyword reply, and puts every reschedule request in one shared inbox.
Sound familiar?
Where WhatsApp breaks down today
“Where is my parcel?” all day
The same question, by call and by chat, answered by hand at the hub.
Failed delivery attempts
The rider arrives and nobody is home, because the consignee never knew the delivery day.
Reschedules lost on riders' phones
Change requests go to one rider's personal number and never reach the operations team.

Examples you can adapt
Utility templates cost a fraction of marketing ones in India, and replies inside a customer's 24-hour window need no template at all.
Hi {{1}}, your shipment {{2}} is out for delivery today and should reach you by {{3}}. Reply here if you need to reschedule.
To track your parcel, open our tracking page and enter the AWB number from your shipment message. Need a different delivery day? Reply RESCHEDULE.
Hi {{1}}, we tried to deliver your shipment {{2}} today but could not reach you. Reply with a convenient day and time for the next attempt.
Can I use the WhatsApp Business API for logistics delivery tracking?
Yes. Shipment, out-for-delivery and delivered updates are utility templates. wbm.link does not connect to courier or warehouse systems, so updates are sent from the inbox or as a broadcast to an imported list of the day's shipments with the AWB number filled in, and a keyword reply sends your tracking page link whenever someone types “track”.
How can consignees reschedule a delivery on WhatsApp?
They reply to the shipment update or type “reschedule”. A button flow asks for the AWB number and a preferred day, and the chat is assigned to your operations team, who confirm the new slot and leave a note for the hub.
Are delivery updates charged as marketing messages?
No. Updates about a consignee's own shipment are utility templates, priced well below marketing messages in India. Add an offer or a promotion to the same message and Meta treats it as marketing.
