WhatsApp for sports clubs, academies & apps
Match alerts, fixtures and member questions from one number.
Fans, parents and members want the same things: when is the match, who is playing, did the fee go through. wbm.link sends those updates to people who opted in, and gives your staff one shared inbox for the questions that follow.
Sound familiar?

Fixture changes get lost among hundreds of messages in a group nobody reads to the end.

The same reminder typed out to every member, every month.

Examples you can adapt
Utility templates cost a fraction of marketing ones in India, and replies inside a customer's 24-hour window need no template at all.
Hi {{1}}, a reminder that your {{2}} match is tomorrow at {{3}}. Please reach the ground 30 minutes early. Reply here with any questions.
Hi! Trials for the under-14 squad are on Sunday at 8 AM. Bring sports shoes and a water bottle — shall I add your child’s name to the list?
Full time at {{1}}: the final score was {{2}}. Highlights and next week’s fixture are now on our page. Reply STOP to opt out.
Can I use the WhatsApp Business API for sports and fantasy apps?
Yes, for clubs, academies, score apps and free-to-play fantasy apps: match alerts and fan updates as broadcasts to users who opted in, member and user support in one shared inbox, and updates about a user's own registration or account as utility templates. Paid fantasy with cash prizes is treated differently — see below.
Can a sports club send match alerts on WhatsApp?
Yes. Fixture reminders for a member’s own team are utility templates; results, news and fan updates are marketing templates. Both go only to people who agreed to hear from you on WhatsApp.
Are fantasy sports allowed on the WhatsApp Business API?
Free-to-play fantasy, with no money in the entry or the prize, is ordinary messaging. Paid fantasy with cash prizes counts as online gambling under Meta’s policy: it needs Meta’s written permission and is allowed only in the countries Meta lists, which do not include India.
Can score updates be sent automatically during a match?
wbm.link does not connect to live score feeds. Clubs and apps send results and alerts as broadcasts to a label or list when they choose — for example at full time.
